FAQs
What can you expect from working together?
Clear, practical advice from someone who knows your business. You’ll work directly with Isabella from first conversation to final document, rather than being passed between lawyers — so the understanding, and the relationship, build over time.
Do I need a lawyer?
Templates and AI tools can be a helpful place to start, and are useful for getting your thinking down. What they can’t do is apply the nuances of your business, the commercial realities of the arrangement in front of you, or the relationship you’re trying to protect. A tailored document drafted specifically for your business brings those details into focus and gives you protection that fits. And if something can wait, we’ll let you know.
Where do we start?
The first step is a conversation. We’ll meet for a complimentary introductory call to understand your business, priorities, and how we can best support you. From there, we’ll outline the next steps — whether it’s a one-off project or ongoing advisory support.
What are the legal fees?
We’ll give you a clear quote after our introductory call, before any work begins. For defined matters (like drafting or reviewing a contract, or a single piece of advice) we’ll confirm a fixed fee once the scope is clear. For ongoing advisory work, we’ll agree on a structure that fits your business. You’ll always know exactly what to expect, so there are no hidden costs.
Can you help if I’m an Australian business working overseas?
Yes. We work online, so where you are doesn’t limit our work together. We advise on Australian law for Australian businesses and creatives, including those living or trading abroad. Where a matter involves another country’s law, we’ll tell you and can help you find the right local adviser.
What kinds of clients do you work with, and in what ways?
We work with businesses across Australia at every stage — from founders and early-stage start-ups to studios, agencies, established small and medium-sized businesses, and larger organisations. Our experience spans a broad range of industries, from technology and professional services to design, architecture, media and the creative industries. There are a few ways to work together: For specific projects — drafting or reviewing a set of contracts, or advising on a particular issue. As questions arise — reach out for advice whenever you need it, on an ad-hoc basis. Ongoing support — when legal questions come up regularly, we can work within your business as an extension of your team — think of it as a “virtual in-house counsel” — offering steady support whenever it’s needed. We also help in-house legal teams with overflow work during busier periods.
